EV charger installation in Stevenage
Home and workplace electric vehicle charger installations, from Pod Point and Zappi to fleet charging, wired on a dedicated circuit and certified to BS 7671 across Stevenage and Hertfordshire.
Charge at home or at work
A properly installed charger means faster, safer charging and no more relying on public points. We fit it right, on its own circuit, and certify the work.
We install home EV chargers such as Pod Point, Zappi and Hypervolt, and set up single or multiple units at workplaces, with load management so several cars can charge safely on one supply.
Before we fit anything we check your incoming supply and consumer unit, so the charger is protected correctly, notified where required, and ready for the years ahead.

Safe, future-proof charging
An EV charger draws a steady, heavy load, so it needs its own dedicated circuit with the right protection, not a spur off an existing one. We size the cable, check the supply and add load management where several chargers share a board.
The result is a charger that works reliably every night, is safe to use, and is ready if you upgrade your car or add a second unit later.
Home charger installation, start to finish
Every installation starts with a short survey: we check your incoming supply and main fuse, the state of the consumer unit, where the charger should sit and the best cable route to it. That is also when we confirm whether your Distribution Network Operator (DNO) simply needs notifying or must approve the connection first, and we handle that paperwork for you.
On installation day we run a dedicated circuit from the board, fit the protection the charger needs, then mount and commission the unit. Before we leave you get a demonstration of the app, scheduled charging set up for your tariff, and an installation certificate to BS 7671 for your records.
Which charger is right for you
A tethered unit keeps its own cable permanently attached, so charging is a case of park and plug in; an untethered socket takes any cable and looks tidier on the wall. Most homes settle on a 7kW unit, which comfortably recharges a car overnight.
The brands we fit most are Pod Point, Zappi and Hypervolt. A Zappi makes sense if you have, or are planning, solar panels, because it can divert surplus generation into the car. Pod Point and Hypervolt are dependable, app-led chargers with good scheduling for cheaper overnight tariffs. Tell us how you drive and charge and we will recommend the right unit, not just the one on the van.

EV charging FAQs
Common questions about home and workplace EV charger installation in Stevenage and Hertfordshire.
Which EV chargers do you install?
We install all the major home and workplace chargers, including Pod Point, Zappi, Hypervolt and other leading brands, and can recommend the right unit for your car and how you charge.
Do I need anything special to have a home charger fitted?
A home charger runs on its own dedicated circuit from the consumer unit. We check your supply and existing board first, and fit any protection or isolation needed so the installation is safe and compliant.
Does the electricity network operator need to be told?
Yes. EV charger installations must be notified to your Distribution Network Operator (DNO), and some supplies need approval before the charger goes in. We check this at the survey and handle the notification for you.
Can you install EV chargers at a workplace?
Yes. We install single or multiple units for staff, customer and fleet parking, with load management so several chargers can run safely on one supply.
How much does EV charger installation cost?
It depends on the charger you choose, the length of the cable run from the consumer unit and whether the board needs any upgrade work. We survey first and provide a free, fixed, no-obligation quote.
Which areas do you cover?
We install home and workplace EV chargers across Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Knebworth, Welwyn Garden City, Hertford, Hatfield, St Albans, Luton and London.
